![]() The front of the device is also understated and clean, with basically non-existent side bezels and a blacked-out LG logo. I didn't realize how much I'd like this till I started using the V10. Since the volume rocker and power button are found on the back, the sides are completely clean. They feel and look great, and give this phone a very "finished" look. The stainless steel bars on either side of the handset are also another one of my favorite things about this phone from a design standpoint. Everything on my review unit is super stealthy and sleek, and I think the segmented back gives it a nice standout look that's still subtle enough to keep it from being over the top. I think the textured back feels and looks incredible, especially in black. Any manufacturer can please make this idea happen. From what I've seen, the overall look of the phone is a bit polarizing - most people either love it or hate it. I think I drew this out of frustration last August. Shiny fragile glass back, cloud dependency, fixed battery, no more IR blaster, lesser features, fixed battery and a flawed S Pen silo design are not making as useful as previous Galaxy Notes. I see them as useful tools for creativity, information, documentation, entertainment, presentations and communications. While underpowered users do not see these types as small computers in pockets, like they claim is as minority, it's silly to think that "32GB is all what you really need" is true for us. I own a Surface 2 with a nice built-in kickstand, memory expansion that holds all my 900+ book references (do you see why my unlimited LTE service is so useful), and not taking up my 64GB internal memory. This phone has it great ups at times, but also the "I'm going to throw the damn thing at the wall" for not doing the basics.Ībsolut-allen, If something like this can come to life with a replaceable battery/SD card I'd jump ship asa. I love how the keyboard didn't recognize "mine" and kept autocorrecting it to "mone." Had to hit the checkmark to get proper English. I will have to serve justice on the bug in a way that might make activists angry.īut all I all, no heat issues, it's a fast phone (most of the time). There's a spider on my wall, but that has nothing to do with the Note 5. There are also times I swear it's set to 60 seconds because it doesn't want to timeout when it should. There are times my screen blacks out before the 30 second timeout. On that note I've also had my phone call bar that sits at the top of the screen while in call disappear for no reason. Then there are times wits the slightest movement my screen lights up way too much on calls. I have to hit the right side button to turn my screen back on to see what's going on. I've had several times while on call that my screen doesn't light back up when I move the phone so I can hang up. I have to clear app cache to get it back. Sometimes my keyboard vibrate stops working for no reason. ![]() My "paste" icon gets stuck on the screen (like right now) while typing this. My camera flash has turned off a few times (today actually) and I couldn't get a good shot in a darker room until I turned ot back on. I've had missed calls when I never heard the phone ring. I've had unread messages that I had no idea because my notification didn't blink. ![]() I have to undo and retry just to get the line right. There are times when I'm drawing with the pen and I get line breaks. This never happened in my Galaxy S4.Īlso my history disappears in Chrome. I've bookmarked several sites only to find they never really bookmarked. I've had many delays in programs such as Facebook on wifi and LTE. This happens selecting from one edge of the screen to the other. I've smart selected with the S-Pen to get the error not enough is selected. I have to select the same 2nd app over and over before it split screens. My multitasking takes several times to actual dual screen. I've even cleared all apps and app cache to no avail. ![]() I've turned sound down, back up, but won't work without a restart. I've had to restart mine several times because my text ringtone stops working. AnonD-90110, There is no issue with Note5 I am using itWell then you're lucky.
